Future Generali India Life Insurance Company Ltd, Simplified “Cyclones Taukate and Yaas Claims Settlement Process

Mumbai, 9th June 2021: As a result of recent cyclones Taukate and Yaas in the disaster-affected districts of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Odisha, and West Bengal, Future Generali India Life Insurance Company Limited is actively taking necessary measures to provide support to the families of the victims in order to ensure claims are responded quickly. The settlement of claims is now a matter of a few clicks. The company has set up special claims helpdesk to make the claims experience simple, quick, and hassle-free in this challenging time. The process of intimation and the requirements to be submitted for Death claims have been simplified and are as follow:

• Future Generali India Life Insurance Company Ltd would ask for an Original Policy Document for death claim intimations for regular claims cases. However, in the absence of the same due to loss in a cyclone in the above-said locations, the Indemnity bond for loss of policy document can be submitted in lieu of the original Policy Document.
• In absence of Death Certificate, one can register the claim basis Certificate or Proof of death establishing identity of the life assured in the form of list issued by State Government or newspaper cutting stating the death details, Letter issued by local authorities confirming death due to by victims “Cyclone Taukate in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Cyclone Yaas in Odisha and West Bengal” or any other valid proof which can be accepted by us
• Following options to submit other documents through digital mode
  • Filling claim form through digitized mode
  • Submitting KYC documents of Life Assured and Claimant
  • PAN card or Form 60 of claimant
  • Cancelled cheque or scan copy of bank statement/passbook
