Do Term Plans Cover Death Due to a Natural Disaster?

In general, term life insurance policy covers death due to natural disasters such as severe weather conditions, earthquakes and lightning.

If the policyholder suffers injuries in a natural disaster and subsequently, dies independently of any other cause, it will be considered as death due to a natural disaster.

Subsequently, the nominee or beneficiary of the policyholder shall receive the sum assured of the term life insurance policy.
